Because Pi

My heart is heavy today, as it has been for many weeks and years but if I had all I needed, I probably wouldn’t be speaking the way I do now.

I am uncertain about the intention of those who claim to stand for my blackness, because “they” don’t know me or the whole of “black” America.

While I am proud of them for taking a stand and voicing their opinions… I feel that most, are missing the bigger picture.

If you don’t understand that you are fighting yourself, you have not begun the real fight. If you don’t understand that you’re fighting against the stereotype, then you really aren’t fighting for the “black man or woman”.

We were once African, now we’re neo-american and our blood is yelling out from the puddles of our minds. That’s a hell of a identity crisis, and that’s not even addressing the self inflicted conditioning we place on ourselves just to fit in with out Caucasian counterparts.

Know thyself black man and woman, know thyself young caucasian.

If you cannot understand that we are in pain and in need of healing you will never understand why you are screaming out for your rights or for which rights you should be calling for.

If you think money is the problem then you are sadly mistaken.

Because if it is? You are now enemies of the state for which your mothers, fathers, indigenous people bled and died for. They didn’t just work because they had to, they worked to be a part of something different.

They fought for a better tomorrow, a better home, wherever they stood.

If you were REALLY protesting, you’d be out here day and night.. but that would make you a terrorist wouldn’t it.

The time comes for understanding that we need to lift one another to a higher ground. How are you gonna extort the city for funds when you shame them for gentrification?! Last time I checked we don’t pay taxes, what kind of Utopia is this?

You’re acting like spoiled children, you don’t want to work, you look down on the man begging for money when you stand in line for ice cream and you molest the words of serious thinkers who cared deeply for their race and all of life.

You destroy your city and put your friends and family out of work. You complain about the law and who’s spending money, who has jobs but you won’t start your own business or open schools to teach. The Fed (old men and women) is bailing the country out because you failed and your parents failed you.

Crazy right? And you know it’s true, that’s why your mothers and fathers come out here and clean up your mess.

You have the means to arouse the world but you’re not using your inside voice, which is crying.

Stop and look at one another.

The change you want and need so desperately starts when you realize that we need to be holding hands and recover our spirit.

When you realize this is a Holy war, your heart will scream out. There is no man or woman that can lead this.. you must see that we are a broken family …and I have come unto you, a broken father, trying to bring love to a home that never was.

So our history was fucked up, can you imagine what made people think they were better than another? Some shitty events took place that fucked them up. That racist man or woman is fucked up so bad tht they cannot see themselves in you.

Land is not stolen, homes are broken, people are destroyed. Just as you occupy the space on which you stand, so did those who came before us. Our purchase of land is false ownership… You own that space by claiming it as home, caring and protecting those nearby. That’s why you have a flag, to show your unity.

I had a dream of a United Africa… That will not happen unless America heals., This will not happen in my lifetime but these two things will change the world dynamic and much greater events will come from it, so much greater but it all starts with YOU!!!

Dig deep American, see what I have seen and create. I’ve seen something so incredibly beautiful and amazing over the horizon and I want you to see it too.

The Spirits are calling, feel them, don’t repeat His story, repair the mystery, teach and learn for a deeper understanding.

I dare you

***I am a fool, for thinking this way, but you look at my art and you’ll see, I saw this day… and I place what I’ve seen on you.
