It’s no secret that educated Caucasians know more about black people then we know about ourselves, which is why there are years and guilt in their eyes. Normally I am neutral on the word, when used by “POC”. Normally I don’t hear it when someone foolish says it. Over the last year’s I’ve changed a bit, becoming less tolerant.
I already feel that most Americans are ignorant to the use of our language, not knowing the origins of words and displaying backwards memes that seem to be positive but actually negative and belittling.
A good source gave me this knowledge of the word “nigger”, he doesn’t have a filter so I questioned why he shared this. It upsets me when Caucasians want to talk about race with me but this guy I trust. He is a history major and know people who actually research and read historical papers. While he says he needs to do his own research and that I should do my own. This story was enough for me… I looked up the word “nigger” after he told me this…

Can you imagine saying I don’t want to be that nigger. Nigger isn’t a derogatory term it’s a threat to do bodily harm.
