Why is it so hard to allow “Black” people to have anything, it’s like we can’t own any foot forward but the reality states otherwise.
Why can’t you just say BLACK LIVES MATTER.. why must it be Trans, gay lesbian, BIPOC, “All lives matter” is the natural progression but it was too soon, people hadn’t embraced “Black Lives Matter” in it’s fullness.
On the day following the Presidential announcement of Joe Bidens victory, as people took to the streets.. I saw flags of every color, signs drawn but one stood out
“Black people saved us”
Holding this small cardboard sign was a young white girl, maybe in her mid 20s.
She held it humbly and quietly, I was proud of her and watched as she showed it about.
But anyways…
We’ve always had to be transcendent in who we are, adaptive but no one will talk about the compromises to our own character and ancestry. We will be adapting for the rest of our existence unless we make our stake here, just as you should but non of this like the so called patriots… They really don’t get it, they do but those who hold extreme prejudices don’t.
On the subject of transcendence…
Admittedly, I didn’t take kindly to the “BLACK LIVES MATTER” slogan when I first heard it. I thought it was a t-shirt, as it was and it pissed me off. Until I found myself crying in the rain, in a doorway across from Nordstrom one night.
Since then, I’ve challenged most people that I hear saying it, because I see it as a cry for help but it has become more than a cry. It has been etched into the mind of white youth and middle class America, and to some has become a war cry, a demand…
But being Black, Indigenous, Biracial, isn’t about war.. it’s about family, your roots! even white people.. and all the other races of people.. FAMILY.
What people fail to understand is that our idea of religion and tradition was not formed for all people! It was religion or “the Way” a family should behave that separated our houses, not our color. There is no gate to heaven other than death which we seem to have no respect for, life is the most important subject on the table.
If you truly understood Christ, you’d understand that when He said “I AM THE WAY”.. you’d understand that WE ARE THE WAY.
That Spirit inside is calling out, I beseech you brothers and sisters.. bring love home.
If we cannot raise the Spirit we are forever lost and this war among ourselves will continue.
The free will we cherish so much will be lost in technology and we will lose all that we are as free people.
Black lives matter because we’ve, endured, survived even transcended what it means to be black; to be the great children of slaves to become the kings and queens we are, as are you.
Step back from the arguments and look into one another’s eyes and see the the beauty that you are. Get out of autopilot and be Human again.
*Human Michael…?
Yes dear?
*We are so very proud of you.. your light has already touched so many. Thank you Father.
My love, thank you for touching my heart and blessing me with this design.
